ik denk dat hij nog mooier is dan afgebeeld,
het is zo al een vlinder met glans er op
die heel mooi is
heel aparte vlinder trouwens

Shapes of the insect are presented excellently. I also welcome nice use of fill flash. My best wishes and TFS.

A fine capture from your archives of a moth taken from a great POV with fine sharpness and colours in an image that has great quality considering that it is nearly 5 years old.
I don't think this is a Hepialid moth though.
This could be a species of Notodontid.
Thanks for sharing this,

Sphingidae moths are not too often in TN gallery what is strange as for me, because these insects are really nice. Your species (not known for me) is very original, both in colours and wings-shape.
Picture is a little too much sharped as for me, but it is still very interesting presentation as so little is known about insect from tropical regions :)
All the best,
Great capture of this moth Apatelodes princeps - male -, family Apatelodidae!
This is the first register of this rare species in the TN.
