Catasticta (Catasticta) flisa viloriai Bollino & M. Costa, 2007

Surely this was "the most boring photo on Tuesday, October 12 "!... This butterfly appeared and did not call more my attention. Without fear of losing of sight, I pulled out my compact Canon SX 110 and made a couple of photos. Then she flew away and I did not even have the desire to follow ... "A butterfly boring, a boring picture ".... ha ... ha ... ha ... Some insects are this way!

In defense of this butterfly, I have to say it is very strange, it could be seen rarely. Seems to live above 1200 meters above sea level in some mountainous regions of my country. Just was classified in 2007 as an endogenous sub-species of C. Flisa.

Thanks by stop and visit!

Jesús

Hi Jesus,
Excellent macro shot of this interesting Butterfly species, TFS!

Technically outstanding friend Jesus, Good morning. The dept of field here is so precised that is close to unbelievable. Boring or not technically quite a challenging and brilliantly executed capture indeed. And speaking of boring I have seen truly boring images before. So obviously boring that the my blood was close to the boiling point!

George Veltchev

Hola Jesús,
Not at all boring my friend!
Not only have you taken a technically perfect shot of this Pierid species of butterfly and two red parasitic mites are clearly shown half buried in its side!
The POV is superb and taken against a fine contrasting natural but neutral BG.
Well done and thanks for sharing this excellent shot.
Kind regards,
Ivan
