Tettigoniidae Sp. (Katydids)

Hello TN friends!

Do doubts, this is one of the best camouflage grasshoppers I've seen in my life ... It is a small insect, about 3 centimeters long, are very well hidden among the leaves that are consistent with his design of "leaf semi sunburned"; when I can "suspicion" that this "leaf" is a bug, I was photographing a fly, then this bug "move an antenna".... but it was very close to the fly, and I had not encountered before!.

Hello Jesus,
Somehow I missed so many pictures of yours..all are so pleasant and you have shown absolutely marvellous butterflies. I will choose this picture because of the amazing and strange creature with the little transparent boots and the very special shape. Looks really like a leaf with shoes..
Well chosen framing and a nice natural presentation. Most interesting!
Merci beaucoup!

Hi Jesus,

This may be the 1st on TN. Amazing grasshopper with perfect camouflage & captured with fine details.
The POV is good & great sharpness too. Well done & TFS.

Hello Jesus,
A fantastic camouflage. Never seen before such a perfect camouflage...
Amazing details, clarity and focus as usual.
Thanks for sharing this unusual species of insect.

Hola Jesús,
excellent documentation of extremely well developped camouflage! When seeing the thumbnail I was absolutely unable to see grasshopper, and expected it to be rather tiny and hidden somewhere. But then a Catitid can be seen clearly and quite dominantly set into the frame, and not just a rotten leaf, what a surprise!
With thanks, and my best wishes to you,

Hi Jesus,
Wow what a sensational find. I can't get over the mimicking Mantids like this one. I wonder how many generations of evolution it took to create this leaf-like bug. Wonderful clarity and focus with a nice background. Excellant image.

Tirei uma foto deste mesmo gafanhoto, percebo então, que como muitos insetos este também é cosmopolita.
