All fools' day? ... also April Fools' Day ...

Today I looked very hard for a fitting shot. I needed something GREEN.
It is after all SPRING... Here is my toast to all my Trek friends:
... " May you be in winter when it snows where you are..."
{ After all it snowed in Calgary... }

But here is the good news:
small shrubs, bushes and trees are already growing again!!!
< See the "green" buds ready to burst forth. >

So my friends allow me that other toast: Nachayim!

And finally -again - the puzzle of the day: can anyone tell me what plant/bush/tree the green sprig belong to?

See also my next one: (II)

Photo detail: Shoot (handheld, macro); crop; scale(50% to fit TN); caption; post. Compo: I will have another version in WS, soonest.

Welcome back Jay,
This is a nice macro with excellent sharpness and lovely color. My guess is an evergreen that is in need of water as the needles are turning yellow on the tips.
PS Driving to work this morning was treacherous and conditions are getting worse as I speak maybe a LOOOONG drive tomorrow.

hi jay,
welcome back, looks like you were busy these days, nice presentation, sharp image with good details, liked the blurry bg, natural colour tones, well composed shot,

I have posted a jay again recently.

tfs & regards

Nicely photoed!! I really like the fresh green of this "plant"; almost an opaqueness
to it!!

Maybe Spring really is coming to the east
coast of Canada!!

Great focus, and beautiful color!!

Hi Jay,
good to see another from you.I have taken pictures somewhat like this one myself but people I know never really seem keen on them, however I like the small details on the large things I see,and really isn't the large just made up of the small(atoms, cells and molecules)and cone buds such as these in this picture?I know it is a conifer of some sort and it does look familiar but the name escapes me right now.The quality of your shot is very good and the green is so welcome as it is snowing as I type this.TFS. Bob

Hi Jay.
Simple but very spring : ))) and nice shot. I like how lovely you have reproduced this small charming twig, its tiny leaves and buds. I also like the spring sunlight, precisely selected DOF and whole composition of the picture. Nice photo greetings from Canada. My best regards and TFS.

Hello Jay,
Lovely close up.POV,3D effect, framing and composition are excellent.

Oh look... there is something green in Canada now. I believe it's a Canadian Yew, Taxus canadensis.
Hi Jay
