(Another picture of the vine snake)
This is a snake of the genus Ahaetulla (Colubridae) - commonly known as whip or vine snakes due to their long slender bodies and their consequent ability to use move in thin branches and vines. The snake was found at a rainforest location at the Kalakad-Mundanthurai Tiger Reserve in South India.

wow, what a brave shot!, nice point of view, with well focused head of this "viper wanabe" snake, I guess its not poisonous (from the teeth) isn't it ? The green color is vivid combined with dark BG, TFS
