[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Spotted Redshank- a common wintering bird in Israel.
The Redshank migrates from the Arctic tundra only to appear in small groups near the Israeli shoreline.

Size:29-30 c"m
Long legs and beak with red colors at the base of the beak.

I took this picture on a wintery day, the camera was hand held through the car's window.
This bird is very hard to catch since it is very small and ellusive.

The picture was scanned from film, and post processed in PS.

PS Work: Levels+ USM. Ni was used for cleaning the grainy look

Not bad considering the conditions this was taken under! I really like the composition.
The sky is really moody as well. You can tell it was a miserable day (we have a lot of them here!).

Thanks for sharing.

I like the composition - the balance between the bird and the rocks - as well as the definition of the bird itself. Nice shot!

Tres joli specimen de la famille des Becasseau.
Le cadrage est joliment bien pensť et donne de l'espace a la vision de ce sujet.
