Hi TN friends
for this picture i used a monopod and the bird was sitting +/- 20 meters away in very windy conditions so it's not the best quality but i still wanted to show this spiecies Luscinia svecica cyanecula (White-spotted Bluethroat)on TN

Blauwborst (Luscinia svecica cyanecula) Bluethroat
Trekvogel (maart tot okt.).
Kenmerken:
Ongeveer de grootte van een mus, maar slanker, met langere poten en een tere snavel. De basis van
de staartpennen is in alle kleden kastanjerood. De witte keel en borst in rustkleed bij het mannetje kleuren in de broedtijd naar lichtend blauw met een duidelijke zwarte en roestrode band gescheiden van de buik.
Bij de roodgesterde blauwborst, de ondersoort die in Scandinavië en Rusland voorkomt, zit een roestrode vlek in het blauwe veld van de keel.
Bij de witgesterde blauwborst (zie foto's), de West- en Midden-Europese soort die wij kennen is dat een witte vlek. Zit rechtop met afhangende vleugels, meestal in het kreupelhout, maar bij het zoeken
naar voedsel ook wel open op de grond. Zingt tijdens een korte glijvlucht of vanaf een open zitplaats.
Geluid: Beluisteren
Fluitende 'huut'-roep of luider 'tak' en 'teurk'.
Zang is zeer afwisselend, vaak doorspekt met imitaties, meestal ingeleid door een steeds sneller worden 'dj iep djiep'.
Verspreiding en woongebied:
Noord-Scandinavië en Noordoost-Europa, Midden-Europa, Frankrijk en een enkele keer in Spanje. Neemt toe.
Leeft in het riet en weiden van vochtige gebieden, in waterrijke bossen en veen. Tijdens de trek neemt de blauwborst soms genoegen met akkers of tuinen.
Voortplanting:
Komvormig nest in dicht struikgewas bij de grond. Leg vanaf mei; 1-2 legsels per jaar. 5-7 eieren, grijsgroen tot roestkleurig met een zwakke glans. Het vrouwtje broedt de meeste tijd van de 13-15 dagen; de ouders voederen de jongen 13-14 dagen in het nest, maar daarna kunnen de jongen nog niet vliegen.
Voedsel:
Insecten, ongewervelde kleine dieren, bessen.
The Bluethroat (Luscinia svecica), is a small passerine bird that was formerly classed as a member of the thrush family Turdidae, but is now more generally considered to be an Old World flycatcher, Muscicapidae. It, and similar small European species, are often called chats.
It is a migratory insectivorous species breeding in wet birch wood or bushy swamp in Europe and Asia with a foothold in western Alaska. It nests in tussocks or low in dense bushes. It winters in north Africa and India.
The Bluethroat is similar in size to the European Robin at 13-14 cm. It is plain brown above except for the distinctive black tail with red side patches. It has a strong white supercilium.
Red-spotted raceThe male has a blue bib edged below with successive black, white and rust coloured borders. Some races, such as L. svecica svecica (Red-spotted Bluethroat) of northern Eurasia, have a red spot in the centre of the blue bib.
Others, such as L. svecica cyanecula (White-spotted Bluethroat) of southern and central Europe, have a white spot in the centre of the blue bib. L. svecica magna in Turkey has no central spot.
Females of all races usually have just a blackish crescent on an otherwise cream throat and breast. Newly fledged juveniles are freckled and spotted dark brown above.
Despite the distinctive appearance of the males, recent genetic studies show only limited variation between the forms, and confirm that this is a single species.
The male has a loud, varied, and sometimes imitative song reminiscent of its relative, the Nightingale. Its call is a typical chat "chack" noise.

Mooie plaat van deze blauwborst Thijs. Heb dit soort vogeltjes in Nederland nog niet gezien, maar ben ze in Noorwegen afgelopen jaar wel regelmatig tegengekomen. Belichting en compo zijn prima in orde, maar vind het wel jammer dat de foto een tikkeltje scherpte mist. Vriendelijke groet, Harry
