[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This was my second outing this spring to Waterton National Park. This time the whole family went. We packed our kayak and did lots of hiking and kayaking (I am a bit sore as I'm typing this). After kayaking on Middle Waterton Lake, we went on this short hike toward the Prince of Wales Hotel, and passed this scene on the way. It was a pretty windy, but I tried my best to capture the sunflowers facing the right way. It looks like I might have caught a butterfly in the center of the flower, too.

PP: A grad filter applied in PP. A noise filter applied. Some sensor dust cloned (I've got to clean that thing right someday soon)! A resize, frame, and USM.

Hi Mike,
Yet another wonderful photo from this amazing place. You are so lucky to be living so close to the park. The way you used the flower as a FG element is perfect it draws my eye toward the pathway which takes me further into the scenery.

Niek

Hi Mike,
Wonderful landscape.......such pristine. A fantastic place to be in. Excellent POV and nice colours. I like the sheen on the rock surface and the yellow sunflowers which is adding colour to the shot. The blue sky and the cloud formations add depth and freshness. Overall a fantastic composition. Kudos.

Hey Mike...Nice butterfly shot. I just wish you could've got a bit closer ;}}
Everything looks great, I like those converging lines and the flowers/b-fly FG of course :)
Sounds like a family outing to remember, and beautiful weather no less (aside from the wind).

Hi Mike
Elle est très belle cette présentation ,les couleurs et la nettetée sont très bonnes avec une belle composition. IL est superbe ce lac devant cette belle montagne.
Au revoir et merci ....JP

Great balance, with excellent use of the foreground sunflower. Overall a pretty dang good pic, especially given that your lighting direction into the sun at midday was all against you. We haven't yet had the chance to get down to Waterton this year.

Hi Mike, A good composition to enhance the look of the photo. I love the clarity you achieved here. The path leads the eye into the scene. Very well done.
