Nice shot! I must admit this one didn't really jump out at me in thumbnail, but I really like it in full. The catchlight in his eye is excellent, and the detail in the feathers superb. Post-process I'd consider perhaps dodging the area above his head, since it's not contrasting as well as it could. I also suspect you should be able to squeeze a little more sharpness out of it if you're interested (try a little high-pass sharpening). Well captured :-D

Excellent focus, bon cadrage. Bravo!

Great feather detail in this close up portrait Luc, nicely composed and good little catchlight in the eye.

Yes Luc, great photo! I think your pictures of Black-capped Chickadees are superb - subject is very cute and photographer did excellent work. In this one I like big dark eye with reflection on it.

Nice shot Luc but not your best, focus a bit soft. Good pose and details.
Well done.

This is a fantastic shot, I can actually see the individual feathers - amazing!
How do you get so close without them flying off!
Well done and TFS

Gorgeous shot Luc, lovely details and composition. The sharpness is good in most areas but is a little off perfect around the head. It's a great shot and how do you get so close to this bird?

WOW Luc, this is just so nice. Exceptional details of this birdie. It also very pleasing to see the growth you have had on this site. I have experienced the same thing. Well done on this great shot, Luc.

wonderful shot of this little beauty!

We have the same bird here, and this outstanding picture sets the bar for me to try to emulate. How do you get such a close-up of these birds?
