Hello Jose,
Clever to get both upper- and underside of this Moroccan Orange-tip (Antocharis belia) in one shot! The colours of this one is darker than our Orange-tip. Pretty sharp and a good illustration of this species.
Many thanks, Ulla

This is certainly a different Orange Tip, Jose.
I too feel that the colours are richer on this Moroccan species, thus making it more attractive than its European counterpart.
The two images have been seamlessly joined together to give the impression of a single shot.
TFS and best regards.
Hi Jose
What s gorgeous presentation of this vividly colored species!
I really like that you captured it from two different POVs and with great sahrpness.
The colors are indeed lovely and make the butterfly stand out from the darker BG nicely.
Also, excellent DOF at both of them.
Sorry to hear about your knee problems...i hope it will get better soon :)
Bravo and TFS

Hola José,
Nice double shot of A. belia showing both the male and the underside, the slight underexposure helping to emphasize them against a dark BG. Both shots are pretty sharp and well composed.
Well done and TFS!

Hi Jose,
At first glance I thought you have captured both the butterflies in one shot. The BG looks so similar and illustrates the habitat well. Nice colours and impressive sharpness. The soft lighting works well here to portray the butterflies in all its glory. Excellent POVs and DOFs. Very nicely composed and presented. Kudos.
TFS.

At first I thought this was one photo and not a split screen. I wondered how you lucked into getting both like this. ha ha
While the lighting is a little low, the identifying characteristics of the butterfly is well displayed. Pretty cool! :)

Mas descriptivo imposible.
La combinación de las dos imagenes es muy coherente, y desde luego nunca creería que se trata de la misma especie.
Un abrazo, Felipe.

Hello José Miguel,
Two birds in one shot, wonderful!
Lovely colours and details are captured in this fine macro shot, and the subjects stand out really well on the dark background!

JM

Fantastic to see both side of wings at the same time. Always amaze to see different markings on both side of wings of the same butterfly. Nice sharpness and colors are well saturated. Very well done and tfs.

Hello Jose,
I hope that you'll knee will give you a little break soon... This is a beautiful specie that look so different from what I'm used to see. These are very good captures that shows us the variety of colors for the same specie. Those images might be a little dark but we still can see very good details, nice composition and tones of colors. Thanks!

Me gusta este tipo de fotos de caracter científico mostrando diferentes tomas de una misma especie.
Es un trabajo muy interesante y yo además lo ampliaría a tomar alguna foto de la oruga correspondiente a la mariposa para incluirla en la lámina.

Hi Jose
First, let me deal with the more important issue here. I am very sorry to hear about your knee problems. I only have sympathy to offer you, but I know how you must feel since I have gone through the same problems before my first knee replacement (July last year) and I am now having the same problems with my other knee as well (probably another knee replacement July next year). So, my sympathy is not just idle words, but heartfelt and experienced first-hand empathy. If it gets to the point where you have discomfort and pain at night time and it is keeping you out of your sleep or even when it is painful just sitting down, then you should seriously consider a knee replacement, if it is within your means to do so. These procedures are well developed and the success rate is really worth the effort.
Back to your dual image of this beautiful little butterfly. A real bonus showing us both sides of the subject. Both the compositions are great, the details are quite fine, and the colours are well saturated. The OOF and darkish BG's makes the bright little insect stand out nicely.
Well done and TFS.
Regards
Loot

Hello Jose,
very nice shot, capturing these butterflies both in a different position. Seeing both sides of the wings makes this very interesting and helps to identify the butterfly so much better.
POV, sharpness and the colors are very nice.

Hola Jose, vaya documentación más buena. Si te sirve de algo es la A. belia belia. El macho el de las alas extendidas y la hembra plegadas. Una gran captura, setas vuelan que se las pelan. :-).
Un abrazote.

Hello Jose,
I've been looking through your gallery and it's wonderful to see and read about so much of the flora and fauna in your part of the world. It's a great gallery you've built up so far.
This is a nice image, a good capture to include both the male and female on separate plants. Sorry to hear about your knee, hope it doesn't give you too much trouble. The image is easily enhanced now we all have the software to do it :-) I posted a workshop, hope it is helpful.
My best regards,
Adrian

Hello José,
well describing, well composed pair of images, showing both sides of a showy species from your country that we do not have in most other parts of Europe. Rainy or otherwise cool and rather dark conditions seem to have provided a good chance for captures, providing a pleasantly peaceful atmosphere. Thank you!
With best regards,
Peter

Dear José,
the butterfly rarely seen on the net (or here of course) is well presented. You had to fight with the light conditions, and I assume your ISO value was high (grainy structure).
I made a workshop version for you, I hope you like it.
My best regards,
Dietrich
