Bonsoir Laurent,
Alors en cherchant des fraises on tombe sur ce magnifique papillon: tu en as de la chance. Ce papillon me semble être plutôt le Petit Mars, car il y a autour du grand point sombre de l'aile supérieure une auréole orange que le Grand Mars n'a pas. Enfin les spécialistes te diront. Tu peux comparer avec celui de Peter Stoeckl qu'il a presenté récemment. Petit ou grand il est superbement photographié.

Hi Laurent.
Pictured butterfly and your shot are simply wonderful. I like its fantastic of beautifulness colours, outstanding composition and great details. That is why I allow me some thoughts. At your framing (when as BG remote leaf is) you could use flash boldly not being afraid of a dark background and apply a bit smaller f-number. In this case nearest leaf would be in focus (sharp) at whole as well as the tail of the butterfly. I usually take few photos and use various technique (when I have such opportunity). My best regards and BRAVO.

What a great shot of this beautiful butterfly, I have heard of the Purple Emperor before, but not the Lesser Purple Emperor, its a nicely composed shot with a classic diagonal pose, fabulous detail and superb colours.
