[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This one was taken where I took the two previous photos I posted - a farm some 12 kilometers away from my town.

I guess this is a caterpillar, and I had never seen one like this. It was near a brook with clear water.

I don't know what the caterpillar will grow into, but, to me, if one judges from its look now, it's going to be something beautiful.

Superbe macro pour cette drôle de chenille. Elle est vraiment amusante avec ses longs poils.

Linda Macro Livios...
Deve ser uma taturana, deixa queimaduras na plele se tocada, e muitas vezes pode ser venenosa...
Belo trabalho

Very interesting and cute photo of this caterpillar. As usual, the technical quality is superb. As for the moth, I would not be too sanguine, there is no rule in those matters and beautiful caterpillar often yield ugly moths! This one remind me of a European species resulting in a wingless, obese atrocity ! So, it's a good thing, perhaps, that you caught it at this stage ;°)

Good shot Livio,
A very unusual caterpillar. Excellent details, sharpness and colours. It certainly will grow into something stunning.
Thanks for posting

Great shot Livio! I like this caterpillar - more hairs than body ;-) It must be very hungry - look at leaf - almost nothing left. Nice composition.
