Hello Nick,
Superb sharp capture of a Blackbird with excellent bokeh BG, making this shot of high technical quality. The only let down is the strange wooden construction and nail that it is standing on.
BTW, this may be a female but the yellow skin at the corner of the mouth says that this is this year's young and at this age the sexes look alike.

Hi Nick, this must be the best shot I have ever seen of a female Blackbird. The mottle pattern of the feathers is amazing, light, tone and colour very good. I like the pov and pose from the bird. Detail and sharpness excellent.

Hello Nicholas,

Even if it is a common bird in Britain and Ireland, it is the first time I see it! I'm just wandering if you took a greater aperture like f/4.0 you would have been able to get the whole bird in focus with a more blurry bg...

You got a magic wondeful light here and I'm even wondering if we can see you within its eye! Great details on the feathers!!!

Excellent capture. The detail of the bird leaves nothing to the imagination because you've focused in so sharp. Even it's small talons are visible and you have a wonderful depth of field. There's a part of me that would love to reach out and pet this little one.

This is a great picture in all levels.
Just a note tho..Im Pretty sure that its a juvenile blackbird..The female is brown all over and rather bland looking..the male is black..thus the name..and the juvenile has these mottled chest feathers.
Regardless of this it is a great image.
