Rowanberries - rönnbär in Swedish.

This is a tree that is common in the north of Europe and sources tell us that it has been used since the middle ages. Nowadays it's red fruits are used for rowanberry jelly, often served with different meat from wild animals, but before it was a popular ingredient in strong alcohol.

The fruits often stay red until winter and it is very rich of vitamin C.

This picture I took this evening, mostly because of the warm, nice light and the beautiful red colour.

Cela me fait penser aux fruits de nos sorbiers et dont quelques espèces d'oiseaux raffolent, en particulier les Jaseurs des Cèdres.
