Hello,

this spot is situated deep amongst cliffs just behind the beach i have featured in my last couple of shots.
A descent down very steep, wet, grass and mud is the only way to reach this spot, but it is the only place you can view these falls in their entirety so i couldn't resist the challenge of getting down here.
This river actually continues down two other falls before it hits the sea, but i didn't want to risk a soaking with my camera in hand as it is another very risky route over slimey rock, so i thought i'd leave it, begrudgingly, for once...

shot in RAW, highlights reduced, increased saturation + 4, converted to JPEG, resized and sharpened. I'm aware the foam at the bottom right is a bit blown out, but i hope it doesn't detract too much from the image.

thanks for looking..

Hi Paul

Great shot - I like the way you have complimented the harsh lines of the rock with the smooth form of the flowing water. Perfect exposure and colour.

Hi Paul,
You do set high standards for yourself and amazingly adhere to them against all odds. This shot speaks for itself - a stunning image for all the trouble and risk you took with your equipment. Such plentiful details here and awesome colour tones. It is a sight to behold and you have done justice to capture the water flow with the slow shutter speed. Very nicely composed and presented. Kudos.
TFS.

Hi Paul,
Good definition of the waterfall and rocks. Very sharp.
IMO, I would have cropped it at the end of the right hand rock to bring the main fall more central and lose the bit that does nothing for the picture.
Well done.

Hi Paul,
Brilliantly composed image with perfect exposure and great focus, I can almost feel the dampness, thanks for sharing. Cheers Rick

Hi Paul,
I'm glad you made it down there OK, the trek was well worth the results :)
Excellent color saturation, exposure, details, and DOF. An interesting composition with the combination of steep shear cliff formation, waterfall, and stream running through the frame. I like the rock strata/texture so clearly seen as well.
Very well done.
Howard

Hi Paul,
The foam at the bottom is surely not detracting. I am have however a bit more difficulty with the bright spot just above the ridge. I know that by cropping of the top, the waterfall would not look good, but that light spot is just too contrasty comparing with the dark rock.
Beside that part, the photo is wonderful. The flow of the water from the top left to the bottom right is perfect. It takes me along a ride through your photo.
TFS,
Niek

Hi Paul
Excellent landscape.Very sharp and great color in the rocks.
