Another Grass Snake for you all. Hope you like it. I was bitten to near death by ants trying to get this one in the frame.

Hello Julian,
I'm so glad you're still alive.
In the first place for yourself ofcourse, but also because otherwise you gould'nt have showing us this great snake image.
And a great snake image this really is.
Awsome details, clarity, sharpness and exposure.
Composition is perfect and light in the eye and details are most wonderful.
The snake does not seem to be very happy with your presence though looking at the tongue going downwards.
Thanks for surviving the attack of all those ants.
Warm regards,
Harry

bonjour julian
c'est juste un peu dommage que la langue ne soit pas figée,je suppose que la vitesse etait trop lente, sinon c'est magnifique.

Hi Julian
An excellent shot of this grass snake!
I like so much the close approach and all the clear details you got on its head.
Love the light reflected at the head and eye, as well as the moving tongue.
You managed so good the DOF and the nicely blurred background got.
Congratulations and thanks for share it.
My best regards,
JM

Thank you for going trough the ant attack... ;o)

Because this is such a great portrait of this snake. Absolutely wonderful colours and perfect sharpness. You even got a small reflection in the eye and the vibrating tongue is just perfect!

Back with a happy green face!

Hello Julian sorry this is a late crit I marked it a fav a few days ago as I wanted to get back to it for a crit. It is a beauty fine sharpnes of the eye and head and nicely shallow dof to blur the background smooth and the speed of the tounge is so well captured with the movement makes this perfect for me along with the great light. POV is spot on tfs rgds Necip
