Swiftcurrent trail #3
|[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note|
|Here's another shot in my hiking series. I was trying to add some foreground interest to my pictures. This hike there was lots of Indian paintbrush wildflowers. With the 10mm I really felt I was right on top of them, but they nearly as prominent as they felt when I was shooting them.|
PP: A resize, frame, and slight USM.

You chose a excellent angle, the way care for a very nice perspective and depth, these way lead us to the mountain in background this give a nice composition together with the flowers in foreground.
I know exactly where you were. I've taken the same scene before! The image looks a little washed out to me. Often that happens in the upload. Do you convert your images to sRGB color space before you work on them for uploading to the web? That sometimes helps. I also have to darken mine a bit I have found. I tried a workshop using adjustment layers to saturate the lighter areas and bring out some detail in the darker tree area.

Very nice and pleasant scenario you show us here. The colours look nice and the red flowers in the lower right corner work great together with all the green stuf - nice balance. The composition with the path leading the eye from the lower left corner into the picture to the mountain is really good and you even managed to keep the mountain out of centre - very nice.
All over a very plesant picture to look at - thanks for sharing.
A nice image of the trail at Swift Current and of the mountain, the photo has a good composition, DOF and nice colors. Thanks for sharing.
A romantic scenery if any!
The flowers, the blue sky, the snowcapped mountains... all elements are there...
Pleasant composition with a good lead-in!
