amazing, Very good exposure, all details in the dark parts
are well seen. Good details and fine details.

Hello Annick,
Beautiful detailed bird portrait.
Wonderful light, clarity and catchlight in the eye.
I also ove the grey, black and blue tones of the feathers very much.
The square composition, sharpness, DOF and lighting are perfect and the way the darker tones of the Jackdaw do stand out against the pleasing soft BG color tones is great.

We don't have jackdaws here, at least not that I know of.

Hi Annick,
The detail, colours are spot on.
My only niggle, if it is one, is there is too much body for a portrait photo and the bird needs cropping, bottom and right. Only my opinion of course but I think it would give the head/eye more punch.

Wonderfully detailed and great light! A beautiful catch. Despite the formalities that another crop could achieve - I'm ok with it as is - since what we see from the body is detailed enough to warrant being in the image! :)

A jackdaw! Now I know what these little guys are :) I see them everywhere but never knew exactly what they were. I think we also have them in Australia, in our Outback, or something like them. You learn something new every day. Great capture by the way! Lovely sharpness and detail. Nice close up study. Well done.
