[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I have been a bit kept away from TN due to an urgent work but the temptation to come back even for a few minutes is so intoxicating. Sorry, I have not been able to critique properly for the last few days but have been coming back to see every post whenever I have wanted to relax from the grinding of work pressure. I promise to catch up pretty soon. Sorry again.

This is another dragonfly posting and I particularly like it for its golden lustre and how it glows in the sun light. I have a few shots of it but posted this one as I like it among the natural habitat. Shot taken hand-held in good light conditions. Please take note that there is no cropping done, just the border added.

I think is PANTALA FLAVESCENS, please correct me if I am wrong. After searching the net I finally hit upon a site displaying Subcontinental dragonflies but again as usual a lot of them looked the same with different names. My bane of contention. Anyway, I hope I am correct in identifying it this time, may be not too.

Pantala flavescens, known as Wandering Glider or Globe Skimmer, is a wide-ranging dragonfly of the family Libellulidae, found worldwide in the tropics, as well as in temperate zones of North America and Eurasia.

Scientific classification -
Kingdom: Animalia
Phylum: Arthropoda
Class: Insecta
Order: Odonata
Suborder: Anisoptera
Family: Libellulidae
Genus: Pantala
Species: P. flavescens

Perfect cropping. You know how to do this and teach by example. I especially love the golden ones. They appear to have some symbolic meaning. Extra nice Sumon.
