[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
On a rainy day as this I'd though of posting a picture from better days this summer. This is a Ringlet Aphantopus hyperantus. Quite common in June and early July. It took quite some time, however, to get a decent pose from this one. It was constantly behind the flower or hanging upside down, or the light was not so good. Anyway, hope you like this one...

Hello Jacob,
In this composition the thistle is as important as the Ringlet, which is fine!
If you wnted to emphasize the Ringlet, you might have cropped this closer to cut out the thistle stem and a little from the top of this image. The technical quality is excellent.

Hallo Jacob
Being a new member to Trek Nature I am still browsing if time permits. I think at this stage my eyes search for anything with the colour I am most fond of which is purple. That is how I came across this beautiful photo with the title “Ringlet”. The detail on the petals, the sepals, the stem and the green leaves is good. The combination of violet, lilac, white and green of the flower makes it a good match. I kind of like the thorns on the stem, which add character to the photo. It looks as if a small part of the one wing have been damaged and is now missing. I also like the spots in different sizes on the butterfly. You have a lovely and wide selection of topics in your portfolio.
