Last weekend I went through my archives and came across some pictures I had almost forgotten about. I found some vultures and thought it would be nice to show all Iberian (or also European)vultures. True, there are sightings of other vultures as well, like the Ruppels vulture, but these four are all native in Europe. All pictures were taken in the summer of 2006 in Spain. Due to compression there is some noise but I hope you like it anyway.
Clockwise, starting top left, these vultures are:
1. Griffon vulture Gyps fulvus; taken in Talarubias, La Serena
2. Black vulture Aegypius monachus, taken in Extremadura
3. Egyptian vulture, Neophron percnopterus, taken in Extremadura
4. Lammergeier or Bearded vulture Gypaetus barbatus, taken in the Pyrenees

Hello Jacob,
I'm grateful for this excellent presentation of four vultures which I tend to confuse. Great focus on all and fine details and colours. As compositions I like No 1 and 4 best! Well done!
TFS and regards, Ulla

Nice presentation, Jacob!

Hello my friend

It's great to see that you have yet again some very impressive images in your archive :)
I really love this collage of all these beautiful species of vultures and the great level of details they are presented with. They also stand out of the BG very beautifully and have wonderful colors.
I have to say that my personal favorite of these is the first pic - the one of the griffon - probably because of the more leveled POV that makes it so interesting and also gives the impression that it just flied by you ;)

Take care and TFS
Horia

Dear Jacob,
At first I would like to say "hello" :>
It is nice to see that you still have such interesting pictures in your archive. I like this compilation a lot. Pictures are very good, have good DOF and interesting POVs (thanks to these elements it is easy to recognize the species). On the other hand one picture (left-up) has some noises which could be reduced a little :)
This picture reminds me my trip to Macedonia from this year, where near Skopje there is a special vulture's area with international importance. There are 4 species of these impressive bird species, unfortunatelly I had bad luck and saw none of them... :(
So thank for showing all these 4 species in one place in such easy way! ;>
Best greetings from Lodz,
Radomir

Hi Jacob

Great collection of vultures and well presented. I like the Eqyptian Vulture best, but they're all good.

Hi Jacob,
Outstanding collage of in-flight shots of the 4 different Vultures. Very sharp images and fine actions freezed. The lighting and focus are great and I like the different BGs too. Excellent POVs and very nice composed. Kudos.
