[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I was shooting butterflies on lantana flowers and saw one skipper and started taking shots but after sometime i could realise that there is something wrong about the insect as the movements were strange.

When i started looking at it from a different view point i could realise that this poor skipper was captured by a spider hiding between the colourful lantana flowers and in seconds of time the skipper was dead.

i felt sorry about the skipper but then its the cycle of life and the skipper has completed his part in the ecological chain.

The image has been cropped a bit, sharpened and framed.

Hi Pankaj,

It's a wonderful picture but too sad for me. At first glance I thought it was another lovely butterfly and flower shot until I spotted the spider and read your notes. Great camera work.

Jane

Hello Pankaj,
very nice moth on a splendid folwer,
lovely composition with wonderfull colors and lovely background
well done,
friendly,
Pat

Composition and colours are perfect. You have captured it very well with excellent details. Well done
Best wishes,
Achim

Unless one looks at this picture carefully, one is likely to miss the drama that is being enacted on top of lantana flowers, Pankaj. The white spider has the poor Skipper in its deadly embrace and one can see that the struggle has gone out of the victim already.
Excellent shot from a very good point of view. Sad to realize that the Skipper who looks so elegant is dead meat for the predator.
Beautiful composition against the uniform green BG.
TFS and regards.
BTW, you look cool in company with your little angel in your new profile photo :-).

My dear friend Pankaj,
You are right about the look, without reading your notes, hardly realized the spider is underneath the Skipper which became a victim!
good DOF on the subject and the flowers
well done and well seen
best regards
Tony

Nice details, composition and very good colors. TFS
Best wishes,

Preciosa toma en muchos aspectos. Los colores de esas flores son impresionantes y el fondo es muy adecuado. Oportunidad también en la captura de esa mariposa. Una fotografía muy interesante.

Saludos Pankaj.

Hello Pankaj,
I only noticed the spider when I read your note! It is so camouflaged!
+++ Good sharpness and detail, great composition, good colours and a good POV.
--- Nothing.
Well done,
Joe

Pankaj Uncle, Lovely shot and very informative. I could see the spider under the leaves. Excellent note. Thanks for sharing. Vignesh

It is sad...but you're right...it's part of life.

Great shot though - wonderful colors, perfect lighting, great details - we can see the spider clearly once notified of its presence. :)

Yes, we have witnessed two similar scenes. This is life... You caught a beautiful image with excellent clarity and colors. Sometimes when we look closer at nature scenes, we notice things that we don't see at first time. From the infinitively small to the infinitely big :)

One a Skipper, mundane, the other a floral almost prettier in details. An interesting combination to keep the eye pleased. Again done in your unique way with a good eye for detail.

Hi Pankaj
A hidden killer. It looks very dramatic. I like your POV. Buckground is perfect
Best wishes

hi Pankaj
très jolie image printanière, ce petit papillon a l'air de se plaire sur cette fleur si colorée. Belle composition avec notamment un bon travail sur le BG.

Gaetan

Hi Pankaj,
A sorry scene for the skipper. But cheers to craby. He has succeeded to capture this giant for a meal of the week. Nice details and composition. Thanks a lot for sharing.
