A different perspective on the sunrise -- widened to include a view of the sky and clouds. The amazing Teton range is in the "background" here.

PP: A bit of sensor dust cloned out, a resize, frame, contrast adjustment, and slight USM.

This is beautiful Mike!
What a gorgeous landscape you've captured here in the Grand Teton. Are you still down there? I l love the shadows on the mountains and the scattered clouds. The colours are awe inspiring. I like!

Hi Mike,
That sky is unforgettable!
And the lighting at the back is like a fairy tale history...jsut great.
Excellent proportions used on the composition, and I like the inclusion of the pond and the sky's reflection on it.
My compliments and thanks for share it.
Best regards,
JM

Hi Mike!

A superb "Grand Teton". It's a subject that is often seen, but also worth to be seen often, and yours is particularly well done. The overall atmosphere it generates is very pleasant and refreshing, the composition with the flat foreground that leads to the center of interest is fine. Just be aware of the burnt whites in the clouds.

Kind regards
Markus

Hi Mike

An excellent landscape shot - the elements combine very well to make a memorable shot. The oranges of the sage brush contrast well with the sky.

I had to visit the Grand Tetons three times before I managed to see them without!

James

Hello Mike,
The play of light is very eye-catching!
Wonderful colours, already marked by the season and the brownish ground goes so well with the blue sky...
A well composed image, good division of the frame!
Greetings,

Hi Mike,
Wow man...I reserve "wow" for the real thing too ;}
This one is makes me realize just how much I'm missing out there :(
You've done a fabulous job here. The sky is fantastic, as is the contrast, light, color, and..the DOF goes on forever :)
Very well done!!
Howard

Man, another stunner! I really like the fact that you chose to leave so much room above the mountain range. Normally this makes the mountains look small, but in this case it gives the photo tons of depth. I really like the way it feels that the clouds come from behind and gives a kind of covered feel. The play of shadow and light across the landscape is wonderful.

Niek

Great image and great vista...
Impressive...
'Amazing Teton' as you mentioned...
