[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The Grand Tetons are one special place. Because there are no foothills, the mountains just rise up from the prairie below. The mountains themselves are also beautifully craggy and give the feeling that you can reach out and touch them. And nowhere was that feeling stronger for me than here from Jenny Lake.

I was trying to do a signal-womb here, and engage the whole frame -- fg to bg. As I was looking at the exposure it was clear I should flash fill the rocks in the fg, so that's what I did.

PP: A contrast adjustment, resize, frame, and USM.

Wow. Very pretty scenery! :)
I love the sky and how it compliments with the rocky mountains in the background and the rocks in the foreground. Excellent contrasts.

Sharpness and colors are greaT!

Maravillosos reflejos y perfecto encuadre.
Buenos tonos luminosos y equilibrados...
Un trabajo muy delicado.
Un saludo, JL.

Nice low viewpoint, great colors and contrasts. Shady fg leads to the brightly lit mountains. Lovely shot!
Cheers

Hi Mike,
I think I've been standing in almost the exact location. Is this where you have to go down a path from the parking area?
I really like your idea of using the flash to brighten the FG and I think it worked perfectly. This might be a good alternative to a grad ND. Awesome work on the details and keeping the sky in such perfect condition.
TFS,
Niek
