[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Just in from West Yellowstone, along the Madison River, we ran into this scene of a bull elk and his harem. We counted 12 females in his harem! (I've posted the longer shot as a WS, but I don't think you can count all 12). No wonder he was so tired!

PP: A slight crop, resize, frame, and USM.

Hi Mike,
Nice composition, focus and exposure, giving us a great view of this group of elk.
Thanks for sharing

Hello Mike,
Well, I guess he has been working hard for his privileges..!
Interesting view of those fine animals resting in the sun, we don't have elk here in Norway but we call our moose "elg", hehehe...
However we have red deer that is a close relative to the elk!

Hi Mike

It is a lovely family scene and they look so relaxed. Beautiful colour tones and excellent DOF. Lovely image

Hi Mike,
A very relaxed scene with some wonderful poses and superb light. Love the details you captured in the first two elks. The antlers of the bull have a very beautiful quality. The focus on the third is a bit soft, but certaily not distracting, it actually is a goos sign that you were pretty close. Amazingly good clarity.
