Hi Kevin
This is definitely a jumping spider species, but i'm far from a specialist to pinpoint a species or a genus either...sorry.
I have some of the min my gallery, too, which weren't identified completely, too.
Anyuway, name or no, this is a splendid macro, full of amazing details and very well visibble textures.
The eyes are of course the main attraction here...simply impressive!
The large DOF that you used made sure that you got them and the head reading well in focus and the POV from where you took this shot is gave you an excellent angle from that reagion in particular.
Typical and very effective composition, too.
Bravo and TFS

Hello Kevin,
Excellent sharpness and good composition. As far as I am concerned, I do not like framing in general.
Have a nice day,
Mariki

Hello Kevin, fantastic close up of this Salticid. The focus is excellnt, I love their eyes. The piece of something in the foreground isn't too distracting but it would be better without it. Well done!

What a cute spider. I don't know the ID.
Perfect shot. The only nit is the twig in the way but it is not too disturbing.

Hi Kevin!
Now I see that preparing a new theme about jumping spiders was a very good idea! Now I can see a lot of these beautiful creatures in one place (some of them - like your picture, thanks to Rob Fry who added them to this theme ) :)
The quality of this picture is just splendid! I like many things like details, sharpness and DOF, but my favourite is an eye-contact with this cute creature :)
