Common but beautifull
Mallard duck (male)
Anas platyrhynchos

Do you know Mallard?

Order: Anseriformes
Family: Anatidés
Synonyms: Duck mallard: maillard, ainette, enette, Common Mallard (Eng), Stockente (Alle), Anade real (Espa), Germano reale (Ital), Wilde Eend (Neerl), Kryakva (Russ), Gräsand (Sued)
Biometrics:
Cut: 51 to 62 cm
Scale: 81 to 98 cm
Weight: 850 to 1400 G
Identification: Most widespread of wild ducks. Male: Brown gray with the head dark green, yellowish nozzle, white collar, chest brown purplished, remains black and white body. Female: Brown mouchetée of yellow, brown nozzle bordered d'orange.
Longevity (maximum): 29 years
Song: The Duck mallard cancane, canquete, nasille. Cancanent male noisy, with one or two false note initial, is often followed weaker corner-corner-corner.
Habitat:: It attends many mediums: ponds, lakes, marshes timbered or not, urban coasts, parts d'eau... It is satisfied with tiny parts of water(ponds, ditches...).
Behaviors: The mallard is far from savage, some reproduce with domestic ducks. The male is far to be faithful and changes partner every year. Like the majority of ducks of surface, it nourishes plants, often while rocking towards.
It flies away without running on water. The males cover a plumage similar to that of the females, known as d'éclipse, at the time of the moult of end d'été where the rémiges all fall at the same time. They take again their initial aspect into 3 to 4 weeks.
Flight: Ahead tended head and neck, beats not very full and fast.
Nesting: Nest: Cut grass furnished with sleeping bag, on the ground or sometimes in the cavity of a willow tadpole. Clearly bridge greenish March from 7 to 16 eggs; approximately 26 days incubation by the female alone. The youngs fly to 7 weeks old.
Mode: Watery seeds, roots and plants but also towards, frogs and insects.

I hope you like him. I have posted the original photo as a workshop.
