Hi Sumon,
impressive, very impressive. An unusual looking insect with incredible markings. You capture of detail is quite remarkable, with a perfect DOF and exposure. i have no idea what it is, but i'm glad you've shown it to us!

Hi Sumon
Wow...this is one interesting creature! I wish i had such beautiful and calm visitors, too, that would pose for me so freely :)
The details you managed to get here are impeccable and the colors are simply magnificent! The contrast between the red and black is perfect while the small white spots just add a touch of brightness to bring your subject out even better.
Splendid low POV and a spot-on DOF gave you a great perspective and angle of shooting.
Wonderful work, my friend!
Bravo and TFS
Horia
Not only does he look as htough he will pop off the page, but literally..It looks like a popper. If not, then that is the name it should be called.
Clean, Crisp and Clear. The motto for Sumon. The guy with the hat! Very well done as per your norm sir!

Hello Sumon,
You present a great shot of a remarkable insect that looks as if it is a true bug that is warning-coloured, which is why it moves slowly when walking. So we can presume that it is poisonous to predators.
I think this is a Homopterous insect, i.e related to cicadas, lanternflies and tree-hoppers: probably a member of the sub-family Fulgoridae.
Great POV that shows most aspects of this insect, including what looks like a pheromone producer at the tip of the abdomen, so it is most probably the female of the species.
Excellent technical qualities, as usual, and the composition is excellent.
Well done and TFS!

Hello Sumon,
before I continue ... I put this picture on my favourite list, not only because the insect is so colourful but because you show it in a professional way. Great depth of field, exact focus, high sharpness and beautiful colours as well as light. What else!
I agree with Ivan 'Argus' that it is a species of the family Fulgoridae. I comes close to species of the genus Penticodes. There is a big lack in good literature on tropical Cicadas making identification rather difficult.
Best wishes, Peter

Hello Sumon,
This is certainly a most unusual bug.
It looks as though it could be some kind of sap sucking creature judging by its mouthparts.
It reminds me in some ways of a cicada.
I would be most interested to find out what it is too.
Your photograph of it is brilliant.
Perfect exposure,detail and composition.
Beatiful colours too.
Thanks for showing us this extraordinary creature.
Cheers

Hello Sumon,
Looks like coming out of space this amazing creature. And what superb colours. Must be very poisonous! Looks a bit like lanternflies( last year I saw something with this kind of shape near ma chalet, but it had yellow stripes). Great document!

Hello Sumon,
I am sorry for delay :)
Beautiful, and very colourful bug species! I have never seen anything similar like this one. You kept perfect DOF and details.
By the way, I have two question:
1. how big wast this insect? I believe some 2 cm? More?
2. Do you know what is this white "things" on insect's abdomen, just under the winds? The eggs? I do not think so :) Maybe the parasite?
Best regards,
Radomir

Hello Sumon,
powerful, extraordinary image. This incredibly colourful cicada must be a very wary object, remarkably closely approached by you from a perfectt ultra-low point of view. Fantastically coloured, patterned and shaped animal, excellently captured. An idea of the approximate body length in millimeters would be a useful adder to the notes of this valuable document. Thank you!
With best regards,
Peter

What an amazing and beautiful creature! Part of me wants to know what it looks like from above, but that's for another photo. The soft green background sets off all that red perfectly. The focus is excellent as well. This is a good reminder for me that it's worth it to get right down there with your subject. Thanks for sharing it.
