[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Not really the time of the year to search for frogs here in the Netherlands. But after a period with absence here on TN I also went through my old slides again. Though my scanned slides miss the ultimate sharpness, I find it worthy to digitise my most valuable slides.
This Pool frog is not uncommon in my region but sometimes hard to distinguish from Edible frogs. For this one I was quite sure, because to be sure for the ID I caught the frog. I do this to evaluate long term differences in populations by monitoring ponds annualy.

Hola Jacobo. Exelente macro. Saludos Luis52.

hi jacob,
i like the shallow DOF you used, it gives this composition a very special touch.greatPOV and good eyecontact.
warm colour tones and a very clear reflection on the water.

Hello Jacob!
Long time when I saw you on TN last time, so at first best withes because you are back :)
You wrote that there is no time for looking for frogs now in your country, and probably you are right. Anyway, today during practices with my students I found about 15 specimens of Rana temporaria just jumping among grass :) Probably the last frogs in these season... :)
According to your photo I would like to congratulate you the idea for this picture. The composition is perfect and the final effect - almost perfect. Why almost? Well, I believe that a little better DOF would be good to keep the second eye in the focus :)
Anyway, nice presentation!
Best greetings,

Hello Jacob,
That's a good job you're doing and it must be very interesting too! Excellent close-up on this frog with great focus on the eye and nice reflection in the water.

Hi Jacob

Good to see you back. Great POV - great detail in the eyes - and good colour too.

Hallo Jacob,

Hello Jacob
it is charming this small frog surely anxious by seeing you, but reassured then.
In a friendly way
