This photo of Moraine Lake in the 3 sisters wilderness is dedicated to Evelynn as this in in her neck of the woods.
Two weeks ago we made the 9 hour or so drive down to Eugene for some tax-free gear shopping and then to the 3 sisters wilderness east of there.
We spent three nights in the area, but the first 36 hours was spent holed up in a snowstorm, which ended up dumping some 18 inches of fresh snow on us. The bonus though was that when the skies cleared on Sunday morning, we were the only ones up there and had all this scenery to ourselves.
This is a 7 shot pano compilation of Moraine Lake with a reflection of the South Sister. Hope you enjoy it Evelynn! |

Hi Tim
I really like this beautiful landscape with the fresh snow covering. Assume reflection on the water with great lighting and the blue sky in the BG.
All around GREAT SHOT!!

WOW! I had no idea that we got that much snow. You must have been at just enough higher elevation that you got a lot of it. I guess I need someone from Canada to let me know what is going on in my own backyard! We were up at Santiam Pass a week ago and there were only traces of snow left. Were you camping in a tent for those three days?!
It is a super shot of pristine undisturbed snow. I'm glad that Oregon at least showed you a bit of sun. We are having some glorious fall weather right now.
Thank you so much for the photo dedicated to ME! It is really a nice one!
