Mt. Bachelor which you see here in the upper left of the photo.
(From Wikipedia):
Mount Bachelor is a stratovolcano (called Bachelor Butte until the 1980s) built atop a shield volcano in the Cascade Volcanic Arc and the Cascade Range of central Oregon.[1] The entire cone of Mount Bachelor is now a ski area.
The volcano lies at the northern end of the 25 km long Mount Bachelor Volcanic Chain. Mount Bachelor is so called because it "stands apart" from the Three Sisters, a group of three volcanic mountains that are northwest of Mount Bachelor.
This was taken close to our camp where we were caught in the snowstorm. Based on a Mt. Bachelor ski report snow forecast which we were basing our weather information from, it was supposed to snow only 6 inches over the weekend. We ended up easily getting double that.

Hi Tim,
Wonderful landscape! Great composition and POV.
Very well done

This is really nice Tim. I am enjoying your view of my state! The sunlight on the snowy trees and the fog in the valley are very attractive. I like this shot very much. I think many people think Oregon as rather tame but the unpredictable weather claims a lot of lives every year. I'm sure you heard of some of the failed rescues last winter.

Hi Tim

Beautiful capture here. The sunlight reflecting off the branches of trees in the foreground is perfectly golden. Mt Bachelor is majestic in the background. Very nice work.

I sure know where it is at but have not been there...at least near this location. I do know a few people who trek there quite often. Actually one is going there later this winter. They were from Bend...and this picture denotes the area very well. I love the looks. I feel as though I am in my cabin and the fire is burning hot as I look through th window outside...Dang..You really know how to take a good picture!

Hi Tim,
W-O-W !!!!!!!!!

Excellent DOF. Fantastic colours! A MASTERPIECE.
