The lizards or sįurios (of Latin the scientific Sauria, called still Lacertilia) constitute an sub-order of escamados reptiles, characterizing itself for the presence of four legs, what it distinguishes it from the sub-order external Serpents, eyelids in the eyes, and ears. The families Anniellidae and Anguidae correspond the reptiles without legs that seem snakes but that, however, they are lizards, having in account the structure of the skeleton. The lizards occur in all the continents, excepto in the Antartic, appear in diverse sizes, since some centimeters, as some guecos, up to 3 meters, as dragon-of-komodo. They are generally carnivorous, feeding of flyers or small mammals, but also it has lizards omnivores or herbķvoros, as the iguanas. Monster-of-gila, native of the south of U.S.A., is the only species that is poisonous. Some types of lizard are capable to regenerate parts of its body, more usually the tail, but in some cases same lost legs. It is put into motion with slowness. To apanhar its canine tooth, it uses the language as a bow. It obtains, with great speed, to extend to the language a meter almost. Its language, of sticky tip arrests the insect and this is eaten. This process with the aid of cameras of high speed is studied. It feeds itself mainly of insects, between which it is the grasshopper, joaninha, the beetle, and many others. Its eyes can be moved independently for any direction, what curious appearance confers it. When a camalećo sees a canine tooth, can fix it with an eye and to use the other to verify if does not have predators in the roundnesses. Encéfalo of the camalećo receives two images separate, that has to associate. To the measure that if approaches to the canine tooth, the fixed camalećo in the both the eyes to be able to make target. The eyes are re-covered by an eyelid that leaves exempts only one small circular area in the center, that corresponds to the Iris and the pupil. Its skin has sufficiently queratina, what it presents a series of advantages (in special, the resistance). But this characteristic makes with that the camalećo makes the "dumb one" of skin during its growth (the old skin scales off, giving place to another one), the example of the snakes. Another characteristic is its change of color, how much in such a way interesting a curious fact.
