[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is another Red Tail Hawk from The Ridgefield Wildlife Refuge. The weather was bad this day but great for the Red Tails. I must have seen about 10 different ones this day. Hope you enjoy. Thanks for looking.

Very good then Tom. there are certainly many of them around Washington yes? I see them every day but am alway sin wrong place at wrong time or wrong lens. This s a super picture of it.

Hi Tom
Great pose! It looks like the Hawk has just landed and he's showing you his interesting colour pattern. Did you get a new zoom lens? I think 500 mm is the way to go when photographing wildlife.

Beautiful! I love these shots!
Another fabulous shot. I want to add them all to my favorites but we're only allowed 100 in the favorites folder. I do think I'm going to create a favorites theme though! ;)

Hi Tom,
this photo has very nice detail to the bird but I must say that the sky was not really very good as it is so harsh.I know you had no control on the sky so it is quite good for that.It is always nice to see these birds no matter the weather and I thank you for sharing this raptor with us.I know a little something about bad weather as well and it is always tough to get good quality shots in and I think you have done well, Tom. That is an awesome pose, Tom.
Amazing POV that exposes the underside of the belly and wings of this beautiful hawk. What interesting markings.
TFS. : )

Your photo really caught my eye. I see red tailed hawks frequently, but of course, never as detailed as in this photo. Even the differences in coloration in its tail feathers is clear as well as the lichens on the tree. Great job!
