I see why you chose the title. The DOF 9not diameter of fungi) is truly amazing. The ones at the back are as clear as the ones at the front.
Can't confirm the ID but I can confirm that its a great shot.Keep em coming.

Lovely shot Felipe. It has an almost fantastical feel to it. I like the composition, showing the fungi rising up the incline to the left. There is real depth to this image. It is sharp and the subtle colours of the fungi come out very well, in fact they almost seem to glow against that dark background. Well spotted photo opportunity and excellent capture :)

Excellent composition with fantastic use of the DOF. Your eye just follow the fungi from near to far or bottom to top of the image. Great effect.

Prepare to fungi invasion! ;-) DOF is excellent. I love darker BG with light spots of fungi, all sharp and clear. I'm glad that you find such places and share it with us Felipe!
Hi felipe, i really like your "fungi" photo, it's almost like a poem...maybe I should start to search around my place for wild fungi as well! nice colours!

Must be raining in the forest with all those umbrellas up!
Nice showing of all the yellow fungi Felipe. They look so good against the burnt-out land and mulch. Sharp and well shown. TFS.

Hi Felipe, I am not a fungi expert at all, but this looks like a very magical scene. I expect fairies to fly out from underneath.
you set the mood very well, and everything just looks good.
Well done

Personal assessment of the photo: great.
Good visual impact.
Aptness of the photo for the site: excellent.
Personal assessment of the note: complete.
Thank you Felipe. A lot of people here. Each one has is own personality.
Hello Felipe,
This is quite easy. The specie which your photo shows, belongs to the genus Gymnopilus P. Karsten 1879; it numbers a few species, less than 20 in Europe.
Even if this genus is very discussed about the correct taxonomic identity of the species, you can name your fungus Gymnopilus penetrans (Fries 1815) Murrill 1912; only by photo, nobody can object to such identification.
This genus is rarely described on populars works. Sometimes they show it under the genus Flammula Fries (1821) P. Kummer 1871 but it is unsuited and it was abandoned; instead sometimes they show Gymnopilus hybridus (Bulliard) Maire 1933 but this is a following synonym of the same taxon.
It is a very common specie which grows on residuals wood or on dead wood; its most important macroscopical characteristic is the rust colour on the cap-surface, stipe-surface and on the gills of the old carpophores.
Good photos, good composition.

Hola Felipe,
bonita constelación de setas, me gusta como resaltan entre la hojarasca oscura. La nitidez y los colores son realmente excelentes. Muy buena toma.
Un abrazo
Hernán
