[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I took this photo during a trip to the Great Barrier Reef – staying on a Live-a-Board for a week. The Great Barrier Reef is the world's largest coral reef system, composed of roughly 3,000 individual reefs and 900 islands stretching for 2,600 kilometres (1,616 mi) over an area of approximately 344,400 square kilometres (132,974 sq mi). The reef is located in the Coral Sea, off the coast of Queensland in northeast Australia.

During the whole trip – this was the only true Clown fish that I saw. I saw plenty of anemonefish, including “false” clown fish…. but only this one true clown fish. According to the videographer on our boat this clown fish has grown up alone on this anemone. They visit this dive site often & she has never seen any others in the area. It is still fairly young.

hi margo,
great picture...very well caught.i remember seeing movie Finding Nemo.

Hi Margo, this is absolutely gorgeous. We don't see a lot of underwater shots here and this one is great. The colour in this clown and anemone is very good with incredible clarity for a shot of this nature. Some day I'll have to get out to the reef.

Thanks, John

wonderful photo of nemo´s dad in his natural surrounding! :-) terrific underwater shot with great details and lovely colors.
well done & best wishes, thor.
