I like the extraordinary flower and the Hover fly; both are depicted sharp.
Good afternoon Jitti!
You present a very nice image of this hoverfly.
Perfect POV giving us a clear view of its large eyes but also the thorax and abdomen.
Sharp details and good clarity.
I did a workshop to show a different composition using the Rule of Thirds.
Nevertheless and great image.

I like both shot. Very nice place and close-up is superb. First of all I am impressed with colour and detail reproduction. All colour tones of the hoverfly, flower and leaves are wonderful and clear. Light and dark of the BG are impressive so much too.
Bravo and best wishes.

A beautiful shot and a wonderful composition. The hoverfly and the lovely yellow flower stand out so well against the nice fresh green leaves. Colors and details are superb.

Given the fact that you said this posting "is the result of a huge crop" I think you did extremely well to still capture such details and clarity. I just love it.
It's a wonderful natural scene with the different foliage, the beautiful little flower, and the lovely wee visitor. A good composition with quite sufficient sharpness in the details, splendid colours, and excellent exposure control.
Well done and TFS.

There are some really nice lines in this shot, the leaves have a lovely texture and compliment the hoverfly's yellow and black stripes.
The lighting and contrast is well handled.
The colours are deep and well saturated.
The flower is well exposed.
Spot on focus and sharpness.
Beautiful composition. Good focus and beautiful colours. Well done,
PS: helophilus sp. Which one I do not know.

In spite of the heavy cropping this is a fine capture of the Hoverfly on the pretty yellow flower and against a fine leafy background. A fine composition in lovely colours and sharp details.
Many thanks, Ulla

I'm impressed by the sharpness of this image after the heavy cropping. Excellent composition showing both the yellow flower and the Helophilus hoverfly with good clarity. The mimosa-type leaves also form a nice decorative feature.
Well done and thanks for sharing this one,

Very pleasant composition and a very natural picture. The hoverfly landed on a very fine yellow flower. The whole picture has something poetical.
Thanks and best regards

Another excellent macro with great details and curious composition. I like the pose of the hoverfly upon the beautiful flower, but most of all I like the pond in the workshop. How beautiful that place with that luxuriant vegetation!
Magnificent job, dear friend.
Thank you very much for sharing.

Although you say you could not get close to this pond, this is just a beautiful scene. The details on the hoverfly is just perfect, and according to the size it is a small flower it is sitting on. Very interesting is the different patterns on the upper and lower part of the insects body. Am I correct if I say there is another insect just below the flower on the one blossom? And it also looks like the shadow of an ant at the bottom of the leaf on the right hand side? The different types of leaves add a special touch to this photo. I enjoyed this photo a lot. Thanks for sharing.
