[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
The last days in Jerusalem were sunny, but the Poplar's naked, bright grayish, stems and branches (and the coldness) remind us, that we are in the middle of the winter. A Syrian Woodpeeker (Dendrocopos syriacus)take part in that view.
The Syrian Woodpecker is a resident breeding bird from southeastern Europe east to Iran. Expanded further northwest into Europe in recent tens years. Israel is It's southern distribution border.
A Happy New Year for all. A year of healthy, fortunate and realization of all your wishes.
