A beautiful swallowtail feeding on thistle flowers, both in sharp focus but almost nothing else in the BG, thanks to the chosen shallow DOF. Thanks for sharing this lovely scene.

Hi Fikret,
Very sharp, with excellent detail of the body and legs. Very good composition and colours. I think this is a female Swallowtail, judging from the shape of the abdomen, with a little amage o te wings. Clearly she has been around for some while, busy laying her eggs. Well done.

Hi Fikret,
Niiiiice! You choose an unusual angle for the picture, photographers are tempted to shoot from above but you did it from the side, and you won! The light makes all details stand out. I would have cropped the flower to the right a little more, but that's an unimportant detail

I cannot imagine the better subject. It is simply wonderful. POV, framing and composition are brilliant. I like crisp sharp image of the butterfly and flowers. They are superbly reflected. And i so like wonderful smooth colourful BG. Bravo and best wishes in 2008.

Bonsoir Fikret,
il n'y a pas grand chose à reprocher à cette photo, si ce n'est peut-être que l'arrière-plan aurai gagné à être un peu plus uni : quelques hernes brillantes attirent un peu trop l'oeil, mais on est proche de la perfection ici. Bravo !

My first impression is "WOW".The clarity is exceptional.Wonderful POV and DOF.
The shot has beautiful lighting and vibrant,well saturated colours.
The focus is razor sharp with amazing detail.
The composition is excellent,"can you tell I like this photo?"
You have not only captured this beautiful butterfly,but I feel as if I am looking first hand at the flower too.
The OOF BG has a fantastic bokeh.
