Went this morning again to my feeding place in the forest,unfortunatly no new visitors arrived today only the regular visitors were there again,I know I posted a few other postings of the same bird,but the light was a bit better today and still it is a beatifull bird,hope you like her as well,tfw

Stamgast

Een stamgast is iemand die opvallend regelmatig aanwezig is in een bepaald etablissement, meestal horeca, meestal cafés.

De stamgasten kennen elkaar en het personeel goed en spreken die dan ook vaak met de voornaam aan. Dat het personeel de klant goed kent, blijkt ook daaruit dat de stamgast zijn consumptie bij binnenkomst krijgt, zonder dat hij erom heeft gevraagd. De volgende consumptie wordt vaak na een kort handgebaar gebracht. Het bekendste gebaar is met de hand naar de bar of tafel wijzend, terwijl de wijsvinger een cirkeltje maakt. Bij pils wordt ook wordt soms een aantal vingers in de lucht gestoken, als teken van het aantal consumpties dat de gast wenst.

De stamgasten zitten vaak aan de grootste tafel van het café, die daarom wel de stamtafel wordt genoemd. Het woord stam zou komen van het gotisch, via het Picardisch naar het Waals, van de stammen die de woningen (herbergen) ondersteunden, en in de nok bijeengebonden werden (vandaar de gotische spitsboog). Ook het Belgische woord estaminet zou daar zijn oorsprong vinden, en niet in het Spaanse 'esta minnata' (hier is een meisje).

Een algemene term voor mensen die graag naar de kroeg gaan is kroegtijger. Dit woord is afgeleid van tijgen, dat gaan of zich begeven naar betekent.

In komische series in de media zijn er ook stamgasten te vinden. Zo draait de strip "stamgasten" van de Nederlandse tekenaar Toon van Driel om de belevenissen van aangeschoten wild, en speelt de televisieserie Cheers zich vrijwel geheel af in een café. Stamgasten in dit café zijn onder meer de postbode Cliff Clavin en de psychiater Frasier Crane.

I liked the colors. The red stands out in this nearly black and white picture. Details are so lovely. Hope the background was a bit darker. But that's not a problem. Very good capture.

Een prachtig exemplaar in inderdaad mooi licht. Erg scherp en goede natuurlijke kleuren. Goede timing met de gedraaide kop en mede daardoor ook een prachtige compositie.
