Thank you for your critiques yesterday. Hope you like this one...
It is a Southern yellow-billed hornbill perched on a branch with golden leaves.
The trees, grasses, plants and flowers were really fascinating in Kruger National Park. My fascination for flora increased during my Kruger period.
So the former is one reason to enclose the golden leaves in the image.
I think the bird is saying: look at my golden leaves. I don't know the tree's identification though. Maybe somebody will know it?

Hello Annick,
great presentation of lovely and a bit angry looking hornbill. Timing, POV, composition, focus great. I like also frame and eye contact. Lighting and composition of tree branches very nice. TFS, well done

Hi Annick,
Artfully composed, I think the red/browns of the tree leaves make it work. I like the POV and pose, well exposed with great color & detail :)
Very well done,

Wonderful composition. While getting close is always good - taking a step back often does the trick as well. Excellent clarity and a good pose of this bird! Bravo!
Cheers, Klaus

Hello Annick,
This is a really lovely composition with the bird at a distance in a natural environment.
I love the pose of the bird, the sharp profile and the fine colours. The brown leaves look beautiful too against the soft background.
Many thanks and regards, Ulla

Hello Annick,
Nice sharp capture of a Yellow-billed Hornbill in a fine pose and Beautifully composed with the brown leaves.
Thanks for sharing this beauty,

hello Annick

it is a very beautiful photography, i love the expression of the bird,
excellent timing to shoot the camera at that moment,
beautiful density of the colours of the image, i love it,
and specially i love the way you framed the bird on the image, TFS

Oh boy!... you have a huge portfolio of great images. I always prepare myself to "gasp" when I click on one of your thumbnails. This was no exception. The natural framing and the rusty leaves make this so beautiful. Your eye for composition and patience are rewarded... Thanks for sharing the results with us.

Hi Annick,

This bird does not look happy! What a look on his face. Excellent shot of this hornbill with razor-sharp details and wonderful colors. I love the setting.

Heello Annick!
You can sure that I liked this yellow-billed hornbill friend! Nice capture and beatiful colors. TFS Friend.

Aaah Annick, what a perfect composition, with your model sitting on that branch absorbing the sunlight and displaying its plumage to a perfection. However, I disagree on the colors of the leaves on the same branch, they look copper colored from here!

Hi Annick

Aother exceptional composition - the hornbill almost leaps out of the screen it is so sharp.

Hello Annick,
Another stunner you have in your pocket. Useful addition of the branch capturing the mood. The cut-out background is very carefully managed to isolate the subject in this superb picture.

Hi Annick,
Very natural shot of this bird and well isolated from BG. Position of the left wing give a less static image for a bird on branche. The harmony of color is interesting too. Great as usual Annick. TFS, JYB

Hallo Annick,
De rood/bruine blaadjes in de compositie geven deze foto iets extra's. Alsof je door een venster naar de Tok kijkt. Erg mooi. De rest van de foto mag er trouwens ook weer zijn!

Hello Annick,
It is perfect composition, acording to photography theory of third division. you have freezed some interesting motion of the wing and the head.
The colors and details are beautiful, as well as the overall cleanliness, in spite of the ISO 400.
Best regards,

Bonsoir annick,
J'aime beaucoup l'avant plan créé par ces feuilles sèches. Comme toujours, la composition est excellente.Merci encore !

Hello Annick,
This is just outstanding my friend, I can't say enough about it, the composition is fantastic, the colors are natural and very beautiful, the details are sharp and this whole package is INCREDIBLE. Great work Annick.

Hi Annick,
This is a really nice capture of your subject and shows the enviroment off well. The soft DOF really punches the subject right off the screen in those nice warm colors. Well done. :)
