Hi Mario. Elegant composition in terms of placement and colour harmony. Lovely light and very good details. Regards. Klaudio.

congratiolations on this picture and your new camera. A well taken in flight shot of this couple of Long tailed ducks.
Last week I also bought the same camera. For in flight 'the ring of fire' as it is sometimes called is a perfect option for autofocus. Don't focus too much on the weight of the camera :-) It is such a nice piece of equipment that it can bring you the most beautiful pictures. Especially withthis kind of in flight pictures it offers much more than the D30.
Take some time for yourself to get to know the camera. For example on www.naturescapes.net you can find some advice for settings on the camera. And maybe we can exchange experiences together with other D1 mark 3 users (Annick, Howard, ...)

Great Image - lovely detail on the birds and great frozen action - they stand out well against the pale OFF BG.
I have a 1D & 1DS (before that I used 3 x 1Vhs bodies) so I am well used to the weight (anything else does not feel like a 'real' camera). My advice would be to get used to handling the camera and shoot only in P mode - you will not go that far wrong (it is usually better than me anyway).

Hi Mario, very nice sharp shot of these in-flight Long-tailed Ducks. It's one I'm not familiar with, so here's another I'll have to keep an eye out for. Looks like your camera's working fine, judging from this shot.

Congrats on the new gear!
Very nice capture of these duck in flight. Very beautiful.
A bit high in noise - maybe compressed a bit too much?
Other than that - great work!
