Yup, its that tree again. Its one of the photos I made during the great sunset over the Sallandse Heuvelrug. I do hope that the weather will change soon, otherwise I have to go further back in my archive and post winter photos from last year.

Anyway, its a Silver Birch tree standing in the middle of a very large field of heather.

Hi Niek

It really was a spectacular sunset and you did great to take many and different photos of it and this beautiful birch's silhouette!
I love this wide vertical composition a lot, too - with a terrific view of the sky.
The colors there are absolutely lovely and the slow graduation makes it so photogenic!
The DOF is again very good and it maintains sharp details throughout the entire frame, while also giving you just the right amount of shutter speed.
Superbly taken and framed!

Bravo and TFS

Hi Niek
I have a favorite tree too. It's the perfect shape and location. Your tree up against the sunset creates a soft and serene image. Pretty colours and nice composition.

Hi Niek

I think I like the vertical framing best. There is something very attractive about the way the light and colour changes through the frame. From the palest pink to the dark blue.

Hi Niek

A lovely composition with superb colours. Well planned and captured.

Hello Niek,
The clouds are reflecting the last sunrays in a way that present this wonderful colours to our eyes!
Pleasant composition with the sharp fine silhouette of the tree, and the frame has a fine feeling of depth!

Hallo Niek,

Kwalitatief hoogstaand. Groeten en TFS Bob

Wonderful image Niek..No matter how many variations you post of it ;)
Hope the weather makes a turn for the better..then you may not have to dig so far into the archives :)
Very well done,

Hallo Niek,

Hi Niek

I'm so far behind in catching up that it probably looks like I am well ahead running first. I sincerely hope you are well after being under-the-weather for some time.

I like this vertical composition that you so skilfully divided into 1/5's on the horizontal plane. Starting with the darkish sky in the upper 1/5, the bluish sky just below that, the colourful and reflective cloudy portion covering the middle 1/5 zone, the strip of bright sunlit sky below the clouds, and finally the bottom 1/5 consisting of the dark terrestrial area that borne the single silhouetted object which stands prominent and erect and over passed into some of the other zones. The colours are fine, the details are good, and the exposure was well controlled.

Good work and TFS.
