This area, around 3 and half hour driving north of Toronto, is one of the most amazing places in spring and fall:

Muskoka is Ontario’s Favourite Year-Round Vacation Destination. 2,500 square miles of towering pines, sparkling lakes and rivers, endless recreational activities, diversified culture and genuine friendly service, Muskoka will have you under its spell on your first visit!

Just a 90-minute drive north of Canada’s business capital and Toronto’s Pearson International, Airport, you will reach the gateways to Muskoka, Highway 11 North at Severn Bridge and Highway 400 North at Port Severn. Immediately you will feel the magic of the region; pink granite rock of the Canadian Shield will surround you, the roar of our many picturesque waterfalls and the charming beauty of our towns and villages will enliven your spirit and imagination.

Stretching from the vast wilderness of Algonquin Park in the east to the rugged windswept shores of the Georgian Bay Islands in the west, the District of Muskoka includes the treasured towns of Gravenhurst, Bracebridge and Huntsville and the townships of Georgian Bay, Lake of Bays and Muskoka Lakes. Each offer a unique experience with an abundance of activities, attractions, outdoor adventures and accommodations, so be sure to see the entire region during your stay!

This is so beautiful! The fallen tree gives a perfect point of interest, and its reflection balances the photo so well. Colorful leaves in the foreground provide good balance! Great job! Penny

Hi Babak,
Beautiful scene!
Nice colors and very well composed!

Great capture, I like the mist and reflection in the image and I think the red leaves frame it well.
Very nice and well done,

Hi Babak, this is indeed a beautiful part of Canada. This is "cottage country" for Toronto. This scene typifies the beauty seen up here with this slow tree lined river. The fallen tree and the coloured maple leaves you pulled into the foreground on the water really add to this composition. All of this is very nicely presented in this shot of yours.

Thanks, John

Hello Babak,

Pristine view of this river perspective in autumn. The water is very clear with colorful autumn leaves.

Hi Babak

It's a dreamland you have captured here, with a very well balanced composition and wonderful colours, even if they are - from my point of view - a bit oversaturated.

Kind regards

Hi Babak,
The two sec exposure realy made the mood in this photo perfect. I like the foggy view and the slow movement of the water. The colored leaves add the perfect touch of color to this gray day. I am however mising the tack sharpness on the log.
