Not only a lovely capture of this bird, but the EXIF information you posted is also a big help for one like me who studies how to get thsi type of image..Much appreciated that you share all of this...it gives me some practical lessons in basics which I am not familiar with. Great plan Annick.

Very good shot Annick!
It is suprisingly noise-less for ISO 1600!!
Excellent detail in the plumage showing each feather clearly.
Nice colours and great lighting.
Excellent DOF and BG.
There are some slight blown-out highlights around the edge of the bird but they're not a major problem.

Hi Annick.
Your bid series is simply great. Every shot is wonderful. Great use ISO 1600. All exposure parameters are selected very well. The reproduction of the small charming bird is excellent. Every tiny feather is visible as well as its colour tones. Subject and framing are wonderful too and classic for bird shots (I remember my steel beam under sparrow :). Well done and TFS.
