I'm always amazed at how Parrots feed like this.... it looks so uncomfortable!!

I visited my Grandparents over the weekend and was able to go to the Butterfly House and Bird-Of-Prey Centre again. I tested out my new kit and was pleasantly suprised at how good the Canon 75-300mm lens was! :))

This is the same Baldy parrot (Rainbow Lorikeet) that I posted a few months ago! :)

Also my younger Brother Danny got an old Fujifilm 1mp camera from our Grandad and is npw obsessed about taking photos! One of his first is in the workshop... it would mean a lot to him if you could check it out :)

Thanks!!

Hello Joe,
This is an interesting action shot and a fine portrait!
I have to figure out what this fellow is up to, and truly he has developed an advanced feeding technique...
Well framed with sharp fine details, outstanding colours!
Greetings,
Pablo -

By the way... Great composition with the croc! Looks scary to me...

Bonjour,
Que voilà un cliché pris au bon moment.
Bonne journée.

Nice colors of this Parrot. Image very sharp and well focus. Great moment.

I certainly didn't know they fed like this..which beyond the crispy clear, colourful picture, makes a complete lesson Joey. How very interesting...well caught..

Hi Joe,

Only you would think of taking a picture like this! How much more can he stuff in his mouth? You caught him at a great moment. Beautiful colors and excellent details.

Jane

Hi Joe,
Using hands while eating may become uncomfortable sometimes, but using legs for the same purpose? Well, no wonder it looks and feels awkward my friend! But still, this is a very nice capture!
Yours,
Mehmet

Glad to see you are making use of the lense. A really good pose here - you must have waited ages for it. The picture is excellent 'reportage' - well done.

Cool image Joe, Cute title..I think everyone can indentify with that "awkward feeding" feeling :)
The POV and close comp is perfect for this one. Vivid colors, nice detail and eye contact. And another shutterbug has been recruited I see? You must be rubbing off :}
