Hi John,
what a sad, simply and lovely composition. I like how the B&W matches with this landscape. I have seen trees like this during winter season. Its a strange feeling, a bit sad, a bit of loneliness.
Good POV and DOF; there is something at the top of the picture tha gives the idea of a very long ice path.
