[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I spotted this mantis before the other one I have posted on this site. I think this is the male of the pair. He wasn't as eager to have his picture taken as the other, but I managed to get a couple before he scurried around the stump.

Only PP is a crop and slight levels adjustment. I sharpened it a bit, but not too much.

Great shot, Laurita. Your point of view here is excellent. I like the way the sunlight catches the mantis on some parts of his body and the way he seems to be looking at you - just before he leaps! The 'fan' at the top makes a beautiful background. Well seen and captured.
