This is the view south from Lyme Bay at low tide, with a hail leaden cloud making it's way out into the English Channel..

I'd like to dedicate this to Tony (Gracious), somebody who also enjoys spending their time exploring his own particular stretch of coast half a world away from me, way down there in beautiful New Zealand..

Amazing POV to this..the beach just seems to go back forever...the clouds are pretty stunning too..The foreground is nice and sharp and the cloud reflections in the water is first rate...TFS

Bonjour Paul
C'est une très belle composition que ce beau paysage. La prise de vue sur cet endroit magnifique et très agréable à regarder est parfaite.

Félicitations pour les belles couleurs et les contrastes.
Merci et au revoir...JP

Hello Paul
This is a fine dedication to Tony whos views of New Zealand make me want to throw it all in and go out there!!...His work is fantastic...
But now for your picture...
This is your best shot ever....I cant stop looking at it...Im not going to spoil it with paltry words..Im just going to sit back and enjoy a coffee and take it all in.

i was out at a nearby lake today and tried to mimic what you do here without the greatest depth in the horizon as you have, but similar sky and using polarizer. I couldn't even come close...I tried to be patient...but whatever you do to create this lovely work, do not forget it...meanwhile on the way home I bought an outdoor photographers handbook....hoping for a miracle!

Hi Paul,
Outstanding shot again and what a beautiful scene you have captured! Simply majestic. Fantastic lighting effects and awesome details. That cloud cluster looks amazing and it has quite effective blocked direct sunlight and the FG details seem dreamlike. Excellent DOF, POV and composition. Kudos.

The textures and light in this are so wonderful. Love the dramatic dark cloud and the bright ones far in the distance.

Nice work. TFS

Hello Paul,
Great POV and dramatic lighting make this image extraordinary and its great that the brightest light should be under the darkest cloud and how it is echoed on the stones in line with it. The stones/boulders add to this fine composition.
A fine image to view and thanks for sharing it,
Fine dedication to our friend Tony, who must be your soulmate.

Hi Paul, splendid view with great sky, superb exposure, very well done, ciao Silvio

Increible luz Paul, donde esta, junto con las sombras juegan un papel primordial en la toma. El plano medio es lo más conseguido a mi entender. Una bonita toma como a las que nos tienes acostumbrados.

Wow - marvelous mood, I love the view and the light, just perfect, thanks and greetings

Hi Paul

It's really rare that one has such a lovely blend of all these elements at the same time, but it's your merit that you've managed to place them into such a nice perspective!
I like this impressive cloud here and how you've composed this shot in order not to clip it at all.
The sun and its light are well controlled and my compliments for not having any overexposed bits - it's rather easy in such cases, especially when you have darker patches in the frame as well.
Furthermore, the FG is nice - with the rocks and the wet sand - attracting just the right amount of attention. In vertical format shots, it usually needs a lot of it, but here it's just enough for the eye of the viewer to slip to the horizon and that left part of it - with that storm already appearing there and being so nicely visible.
Overall: another superb job, my friend!

Bravo and TFS

Cheers mate,

Hi Paul!

What an expo, there are lots of details everywhere! I like the mood, a very peaceful place but if you look at the clouds you start doubting that :)
Very fine image at the always excellent quality, TFS!

Hello Paul,
A nasty looking cloud indeed, but the rest of the view looks incredible Paul, although I must confess the sandy area isn't near as lovely as your previous posts for me. Fantastic coastline work as usual my friend.

This is a world of textures and light, bright and shadow, it is great once more. It is a very well thought out dedication too, because the shores of both your picture are paradisiac and wonderful. The waves in the sand created by the waves add the textural touch and otherwise it wouldn't be the same. Wow, Paul, you sure are an artist of the coast!

Hello Paul,

Great low pov. Not only do you capture the f/g details of the rock, but also the ridged sand.

Superb composition and a hugely dramatic sky!

Kind regards,
Bev :-)

Hello Paul!
Sorry for delay with writting a detailed comment :)
Once again thanks to your picture I have to stop and think a little more about sea coast, and that is really good! I strogly prefer photos which bring some feelings! And moreover, looking at your images I can not wait when I watch cliffs and other types of sea coast in Irland and (I hope) UK :> And it should be really soon! ;)
Friendly yours,

Hi Paul,

Hi Paul,
