Late afternoon sun beams met these flowers in the shadow of a tree at a low angle.

It's a bit early in the year for these small flowers of a Prunus species. The size is about 15 mm in diameter.
A walk on this sunny day showed a number of different plants already flowering,
such as violets and crocus. Catkins were heavily distributing their pollen.
A bee, a bumble bee and different fly species were on the wing, too.

Hi Peter

You present us a delicate and tender spring messenger. The colours are superb, and I'm impressed by the richness of details. You also managed the lighting very well. But I believe the most important is the very pleasant aspect of this picture.

Kind regards

Bonita luz para esas preciosas flores de rosácea, parecen Prunus pisardi. Encantadores tonos de los pétalos y un fondo muy adecuado para el contraste.

Hi Peter.
First what I did that I saw whether you used flash. Simply amazing use of sunlight and superb shadows. Amazing DOF, lovely colours and extreme details of the charming subject. Impressive art work. My best wishes.

Hi Peter,
Superb close up of these beautifully flowers...wonderful focus and composition make this a great capture indeed. TFS this beauty.

Hi Peter,

Perfect macro! All are excelent! TFS. Regards,

A perfect "low key" rendering of these fine flowers and the bud, captured from a nice POV and with enough DOF to catch them all in good focus Peter, that dark BG really emphasizes them and makes a fine composition. TFS and cheers,

Hi Peter,
Lovely image of these sunlit beauties with the dark BG. The well focused details are beautiful. Nicely composed.
Tfs Richard
