hello, when i shoot a photo of the White-breasted Nuthatch
i love to do it when he his on his caracteristic pose to fly up
from the tree, here is another of my favorite little bird
the male of the Red-winged Blackbird that i love to shoot
it in photo when he launch up his caracteristic sound,
in the 2 cases, the Nuthatch and the Blackbird,
i waite until the good moment to clic the camera

here i have the silhouette of the Red-winged Blackbird
this is another kind of photography that i love,
photo shot in JPEG and the zoom doubled, ISO200

from the « All About Birds » website
here is some text on the Red-winged Blackbird

« One of the most abundant birds in North America,
the Red-winged Blackbird is found in wetlands
and agricultural areas across the continent.
The black male can hide the brilliant red shoulders
or show them off in a dazzling display. The striped
female looks strikingly different than the male and
could almost be mistaken for a large dark sparrow.

Sex Differences

Male black with red shoulders,
female brown and striped all over.

Conservation Status

Perhaps the most abundant bird in North America,
with an estimated population of 190 million
individuals in 1974. Populations increased
greatly in the middle of the 20th century. »

Salut Asbed,
C'est original comme photo! J'aime bien cette idée mais moins l'espèce qu'elle représente :) Les Mainates et les Carouges sont de retour en masse dans mon coin à mon grand malheur :) Belle photo, bien pensée et réalisée,
Claudine

Hi Asbed,

Your style is very effective. You took this at just the right time - it would not have been the same if his beak was not opened. I can almost hear him. I like the silhouette and I love that the red patch is showing. The pine tree is the perfect tree for this picture.

Francine

A very unique idea...did you do it via post process? Certainly must have...it looks just fine Asbed. It is unique and very creative.

Hello Asbed. All those silhouettes and just the red spot on the back is stunning. What makes this more brilliant is the spotless blue sky. Regards. Jusni

Hi Asbed

A great shot - good composition and POV with wonderful colour and detail. Well observed and captured.

James

Hello Asbed,
This image can be regarded in two ways: firstly its darkness provides a certain mystique and secondly the POV with the fine composition of the Red-winged Blackbird on the top of the spruce tree.
But I was curious to see what it would look like if I made it look lighter, so I tried the WS. Maybe some people prefer it to be little brighter and what do you think?
Thanks anyway for sharing this sharp and interesting image,
Ivan

Hello Asbed,
Very different image Asbed, although for me a little to much post processing. The result though with the red wing flash remaining well seen is quite nice, thanks Asbed.

Bonjour Asbed,
Belle idée d'hombre chinoise avec un spot rouge en plus!
Personnellement j'aurais éclairci le ciel pour que la silouhette resorte mieux
Bien vu
Albert

Hello Asbed,

A very original capture, I like the composition very much, the red spot on the wing is a fine detail, great POV.. Well done

Hi Asbed,
lovely shapes and shadows. I like the idea of a blue BG, is very good.
Is there something red over the bird? it´s a good detail.
It´s a very simple but interesting composition, I really like it. You have a great imagination.

have a nice day
